With the current price of replacement DPF’s it is more cost effective to completely remove the DPF from the vehicle and reprogram the vehicle’s ECU so there is no more regeneration cycles completely eliminating this troublesome system.

What is a DPF?

A DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter or FAP Filtre A Particules) is a filter in the exhaust system that traps the soot particles and when the temperature inside the DPF reaches over 600 degrees celsius the particles are naturally burnt off, although this doesnt always happen especially when the vehicle only does short journeys which can cause the filter to become blocked more regular. Then the ECU comes in and alters the injection timing and fuel amount etc in an attempt to create a high temperature in the exhuast to burn off the particles. The DPF’s have a service life of around 100000-130000 miles but very rarely make it that long. The cost of a replacement filter can be well in excess of £1000 for most high end vehicles.

What about MOT?

When the filter is removed from the vehicle and the software updated with our DPF Removal Software the vehicle will pass the MOT smoke test with out problems.

How is it done?

Firstly we will remove the filter from the exhaust, this can be done two ways we will either cut down the manufactures welds remove the filter and TIG weld the housing back together this way it will look like the system is still there as original or we also manufacture high quality stainless steel DPF Removal pipes.
